Wedding Planning Is Time Consuming

If you’re about to get married, your big day occupies most of your thoughts. No matter how hard to try to think about other topics, little else can truly hold your attention. After all, you’re going to be the center of attention throughout the entire event. That’s a little bit nerve wracking. Another reason your nuptials consume so much of your time, energy, and attention is that there are so many details to oversee and never enough time for them all. From the moment you say yes to the ring, you’re behind schedule. Experts will say a year is minimal for planning a wedding. But talk to any harried bride-to-be and she’ll tell you that there’s never enough time-no matter how much time you have!

Finding A Friend In Your Wedding Planners

Wouldn’t it be nice if there were one place that you could go to have all the services of a wedding all ready and waiting for you. Imagine a company that would send out your invitations, help you pick out a dress, found the perfect chapel, and provided transportation to the reception if needed. What if this company also catered the food, provided the entertainment, decorated your reception, set up a serving staff and bar, and brought and arranged the flowers. Can you imagine a company that did all of this plus helped you pick out the rings, coordinate your color theme, planned the brunches, lunches and showers and provided a professional photographer? What if there was a company that helped you so much that one of the biggest decisions you had to make was choosing the ring pillow and who would be your ring pillow bearer? Well, guess what, there is someone who will help you do this and a lot more. It is the wedding planner and there are professional wedding planners waiting to help you right now.

Ritual Similarities of Weddings and Funerals

There are two rituals in life that everyone goes through that bear a striking resemblance to each other yet are two completely different rites of passage. The wedding and the funeral have so much in common that is almost uncanny. Why we made these ceremonies so alike is something that escapes me and I cannot think of a way to explain it other than the way the bachelor might feel for a brief moment just before the completion of the ceremony. However, I can list the ways that these two entirely different occasions parallel each other and if you think about it, you could probably come up with more.

Splitting The Wedding Bill

Weddings are expensive and there is no way around that fact. If you plan to have a traditional wedding with everything that goes with it, you have to be prepared to confront the final bill with fortitude and a glass of whiskey never hurt either. There are just so many aspects of a wedding that have to be paid for and tradition recently indicated that they are divided between the bride’s family, the groom’s family, and the groom himself. Over are the days where the bride’s family pays for everything right down to the finest detail. For a short period, tradition had shifted this responsibility to the three parties just mentioned as follows. The bride’s parents paid for the wedding, the reception, and the ever-popular brunch. They also were expected to foot the bill for the grooms ring and the engagement party. They paid for all the minor details, personalized wedding favors, personalized favor boxes, table settings, food caterers and all the little yet expensive things that go into the making of a beautiful wedding.

Memories are the invisible bond that keeps people linked for life no matter where they are or what they are doing. When you think back over your life and you contemplate everything that has happened to you and the people that you have known, you are actually looking at the photo album of the mind. Some memories are good and some are not so good. Almost all memories will evoke an emotional response, even a small one, like nostalgia, which is kind of like a feeling of fondness for a moment lost and a longing to somehow regain the experience of it. The strongest of these types of memories will usually fall on moments of extreme happiness or joy, like the birth of a child or other celebration of life. None of these will ever compare, however, to the day that you came together with the person to whom you have been subconsciously waiting for all you life. The man or woman you marry.

Food Catering Is A Vital Part Of A Wedding

The food catering business is more complicated than one might expect. There are several tasks involved that include more than cooking a meal, large or small and delivering it to a person or function. The technical equipment caterers now utilize are just as advanced, and in many cases, more advance that those in a modern restaurant kitchen. When people think of caterers or of going into the catering business, they think about cooking and smiling in their kitchen with their happy go lucky apron tied around their waist but nothing could be further from the truth. The facts are that catering is an almost around the clock job that has a high level of stress.

Same Sex Weddings Are Coming Out

In the last year, five states have legalized same sex marriages. As of September 1, 2009, same sex marriages will be legal in the state of Vermont in lieu of the civil unions that were in place. After this date, couples will no longer be able to purchase a civil union license. You will also be unable to get a same sex marriage license until you have the courts legally dissolve any civil union you have entered into before September 1.
