Powerleveling in Warcraft. Rolling a New Alliance Draenei Character

If you have just started your first Draenei character in Warcraft you will probably want to power level them as quickly as possible. Here are the first steps to get you started.

Start at a crash site. You are initially faced by a fellow traveller called Megalon. Right click on him and accept the quest “You Survived” Head south towards the character now showing a question mark on their head. Click on them then click on the finish quest button at the bottom of the dialogue window that pops up. Voila. You have completed your first quest

There are two more quests here. The characters with yellow exclamation marks (!) on their heads have quests you can take. Click on these characters and “accept” the quests they offer.

Now you are into action. The quests are to kill 8 volatile mutations and collect 8 vials of moth’s blood from the Vale Moths you will see behind you. Now, remember. To attack simply left click on the mob (monster) you want to attack. You may need to be right up close to them if you do not have ranged weapons. Also make sure you are facing them. If you have a ranged weapon such as a magic bolt or a bow or gun then you can stand back and fire.

This will be a more powerful attack, but will require a few seconds to recharge. It may be a ranged attack, i.e. you can stand some way off from the mob to attack it. It will take the mob time to close in on you, giving you time to fire again.

So kill the 8 volatile mutations and loot enough moths to collect 8 vials of blood. To collect loot from a mob you have killed, right click on it and a window will pop up with the loot. Left click the items you want. TO begin with you have no gold what so ever, so collect everything to sell. You really need some gold (or at this level it will be copper). You can see the mobs that you are eligible to loot; they will give off “sparkles”

So, loot everything until your backpack – which is shown in the bottom left of the screen – is full. Not every moth will yield the vial you need, so keep killing and looting until you have the eight the quest asks for.

Go back to the quest giver, right click on him, read the text and click on the button at the bottom of the pop-up window to complete the quest.

You will probably have leveled up to “level 2″ by now. A local quest giver will direct you to your class trainer inside the wrecked ship in front of you. Your class trainer will give you new skills and improve your existing ones. Go into the ship and first find a vendor. If you hover your mouse over the various characters in the ship, some will show a round bag icon, or perhaps an anvil icon in front of them. If you click on these a window will open that allows you to sell the items you don’t need for copper.

Find more quests… Characters with exclamation marks over them have quests you can do. Characters with yellow question marks over their heads are the ones to return to once the quest is complete for rewards and experience.

Quests give you gold and items to use to advance in the game. As well as Experience points. Completing quests is the fastest way to level, and a good way to keep your equipment up to date with the rewards. Good luck.
