Pulsating tinnitus is a ringing sound that you alone seem to hear lacking the presence of any real noise around. In simple, it the sounds of your own pulse, heart beat or even your blood flow which causes the ringing sound in your ears.

When this tube is infected or damaged, a liquid is amassed in the air filled space in middle ear. This is the cause of pulsating tinnitus.

Sinus issues also lead to pulsating tinnitus. When a person takes in excess of antibiotics it causes thickening of the mucous in the inner ear. This mucous has to empty out thru the Eustachian tubes. But the mucous has become too thick to drain out through the narrow tubes. Thyroid Dysfunction also causes pulsatile tinnitus. In a selected dysfunction Hyperthyroidism, causes increased quicker heart beats. This in turn causes pulsating noise. Some other reasons for tinnitus may be because of stress, side effects due to prescribed drugs, tumors in the middle ear etc . These are just some of the common causes of pulsating tinnitus. There are more reasons behind tinnitus but its occurrence is very less.

So now you would have got some idea about the causes of tinnitus. Pulsating tinnitus is not a disease on its own. It’s the side effect or the after effect of the other malfunctions in our body. Finding the root cause of pulsating tinnitus is the difficult part. If its done the cure will be easy.
