Somewhere down the line we have lost control of our lives, everything is done at speed these days, from our food to our entertainment. It’s time to take some of that control back again.
We don’t have to live our lives by stringent rules, but we all need a sense of direction and different goals to aim for. This gives our lives a purpose and a reason to chill a bit.
When you do set those goals, be realistic. These must be things that you really want and are capable of accomplishing. Goals based on fantasies will never materialize and leave you disillusioned.
As you have to set yourself a time to complete your goals by; those such as being a better person or parent are simply unrealistic. These are immeasurable so forget these as goals.
Rome wasn’t built in a day, so don’t expect miracles. A good time limit for first time goals is approximately 8-12 weeks.

If you like walking. Why not set yourself a target of walking a set distance in a certain time, such as half an hour. Or you may want to improve your memory, maybe even save up money for something special in that set amount of time.
If there is an occasion coming up, plan the event yourself, or make a new friend within a month. Even reading a book within a certain time is an achievable goal.
